Florida student beats teacher unconscious for taking away video game

 A 17-year-old student beat up his teacher’s aide for taking away his video game at Matanzas High School in Florida on Friday. 

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office said that the physical incident happened after the teacher's aide took away the student’s Nintendo Switch during class.

A 17-year-old student was taken into custody after he attacked a high school teacher's aide for taking away his video game at Matanzas High School in Florida.

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office released a video of the attack in which one can see a 6’6" and 270-pound student running up to the teacher's aide, pushing her to the ground, then continuing to punch and kick her, Fox News reported. 

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office said that the physical incident happened after the teacher's aide took away the student’s Nintendo Switch during class.

The student charged at the teacher and continued punching and kicking the teacher’s aide until a group of people were seen forcibly removing him. The teacher was seen laying on the floor for several minutes before getting up.

According to a sherrif Rick Staly, the teacher could have been killed.

"This could have been a homicide. When you push people down like that, they hit their head, you never know the outcome, " Staly said.

The teacher's aide was admitted to a local hospital and was released. She's believed to have broken ribs and significant bruising, however, the sheriff's office doesn't know the full extent of her injuries.

According to WESH-TV, the teenager is considered a special needs student, Fox News reported. He has been charged with felony aggravated assault with bodily harm.
