The Delhi L-G in his letter said that he agreed to meet CM Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia. However, the CM insisted on meeting him with 70–80 MLAs, which the L-G rejected. Now, Kejriwal, in his response, said that Saxena could have met them for five minutes.

“You could have taken out five minutes to meet us. If the entire Delhi Cabinet, Delhi MLAs were standing outside your residence, it is obvious it must have been an important issue related to Delhi,” said Kejriwal in his letter to Delhi L-G.

Earlier in the day, the Delhi L-G attacked Kejriwal for the alleged short attendance in government schools in the national capital.

He said that the attendance of students in government schools in Delhi fell from 70.73% in 2012–2013 to 60.65% in 2019–2020.

Speaking on the attendance issue, the Delhi CM said, “If the central government and all the LGs had not obstructed the work of the people of Delhi in the past, they would have achieved much more by now.”

“No system is perfect. Tremendous improvements have taken place in the education system of Delhi as compared to earlier. But much remains to be done. Still a long way to go,” wrote Kejriwal in the letter.“On one hand, L-G stops the salaries of Mohalla Clinic doctors, lab tests, and payments of rent and electricity bills and then they say that Mohalla Clinics are not doing well. He added that the Delhi L-G orders the officers to stop all the funds of the Delhi Jal Board and then worries about people of Delhi not getting water,” added Kejriwal in his letter. Read More On..
